Smoked Mackeral Pate


250g/9oz Full fat soft cheese

375g/12oz Smoked mackerel fillets – we also buy the peppered ones occasionally

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon snipped chives

pepper to taste


Skin and flake the mackerel and remove bones.  Cream the soft cheese and stir in the fish, lemon juice, chives and pepper.  Beat until smooth.
