Ingredients
- 25g fenugreek seeds, coarsely crushed
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ tsp asafetida
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp coarse chilli powder
- 25ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 large Bramley apple, chopped into 2cm cubes
Method
Mix the fenugreek, turmeric, asafetida, salt chilli powder and oil together in a medium bowl, rubbing the spices between your fingers and thumbs to work all the spices together. Then use a spoon to stir in the chopped apple.
You can serve this straight away or store it in an airtight container in the fridge for a day or two. The longer you leave it, the softer the apple becomes.
