- 1 medium cucumber
- 300g plain set live yoghurt
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp sugar
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- Pinch of turmeric
- 1 medium carrot, grated
Masala
- 1 fresh green chilli / ¾ tsp chilli flakes
- 1 clove garlic
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Add the Masala ingredients to a blender and whizz to form a paste
- Grate the cucumber into a colander and squeeze to remove as much water as possible.
- Put the masala paste, yoghurt, salt, sugar and spices together in a bowl and mix thoroughly but gently to break the yoghurt into a smooth texture. Take care not to mix too vigorously as it will separate.
- Gently, fold in the grated cucumber and carrot.
